New drivers after this date are only legally permitted to tow a trailer with a Category B vehicle provided the trailer + towing vehicle does not exceed 3500 kg and the MAM (Maximum authorised Mass) of the trailer does not exceed the unladen weight of the towing vehicle.

De Graaff Trailers have developed a new "LIGHTWEIGHT" trailer that can be towed legally by drivers who have passed their test after 1st of January 1997.

The Drawbar of the trailer is adjustable so its length can be varied from 25ft(7,6m) to 30ft(9.1m). This means it will accommodate up to four 4's on the top rack and Split 8's on the rack below. Single's and Pair's can be carried on the lower racks. As with most of De Graaff's Trailers the racks are adjustable to accommodate the most suitable load for your needs. The front Rack is adjustable for height when towing behind a High vehicle.

The Trailer has been designed with lightweight materials and has a Gross Weight of 1200kg yet the empty trailer only weighs 600kgs.This leaves you with a loading capacity of 600kg.

At no time has the "Robustness" of the De Graaff Trailer been compromised.

This Trailer can be towed by a Saloon/ Estate car,4x4 or Van providing the Kerb weight of the towing vehicle is the same as or more than the MAM of the trailer and the combined weight of the 2 together DOES NOT exceed 3500kg.
